2018
Start of Dinner Series!
Our group started with a few ladies in the Toronto VC industry getting dinner together regularly to share and support each other.
The group got bigger
Our group of women VC quickly got too big for dinners. We launched a Slack group in late 2018 and started organizing larger events for our community.

Launch of the first Bootcamp Cohort
During the pandemic, our group hosted the first edition of our professional Bootcamp and organized multiple virtual events, growing our community coast to coast.
Formalizing the Organization
We recruited a new management committee, formalized our offering, and incorporated Canadian Women in VC as a not-for-profit.

Scaling our impact
We brought on our first official sponsors & partners, and launched four new chapters to grow and scale our impact in the community.
